Can I say that I am just tired...I recently started working another job on top of my regular job. I'm also working on my etsy shop.

My regular job is a perfect "mom" job. Working only the hours that my kids are in school. When they have a day off, so do I. My other job just fell into my lap. Working retail. The hours SUCK! I love fabric and all that it entails. One day I was in a fabric shop looking for fabric for my bags and purses. I asked if they were hiring. It didn't take much to convince them that I was their girl. The next week I had a job and absolutely no life. I will be working this job over the summer and then make the decision to keep it or not. I can't continue to work myself into the ground like this.

My house has gone to pot and so has my brain not to mention my family.

Wow...It's been awhile. I've slacked writing on my blog because of my wonderful insecurities. I am not really funny, I don't express myself well and I suck at using big words. I did reminded myself today I am not here to entertain the world. My blog is here so that I can record my thoughts, ideas and the general diarrhea that enters and exits my brain.

This blog is for me to keep a log of my days as a wife, mother, sister, hoe, daughter, and last but not least a jack-ass.

I would like to continue with decor Ideas, but I have looked at other blogs and there are much more talented people out there to give you any and all ideas of hanging a picture, making your bed, wiping your nose, and general upkeep of your house.

Communication in our family consists of Instant Messages, Twitter and text messaging. We rarely talk to each other any other way. I do love to twitter. I always have little thoughts running through my head that I like to say but don't ever get a chance to express them. Twitter gives me that opportunity. But there are those days when I despise anything that takes away from a warm friendly conversation. There must be a happy medium somewhere.

In the last year my two oldest girls have entered the world of cell phone ownership. I do like that I can get a hold of my girls anytime I want. Except for the times when they don't answer the phone. Don't get me started.

I grew up with an olive-green rotary-dial phone. Far from the advantages that my girls currently have.

During the last couple of weeks I've been devising a plan to make lots of money. Well we all know that's not going to happen, so I will settled on doing something I enjoy and hopefully make some money on the side.

I remember back in the 6th grade when I walked into my home ec. class, as it was called back then, to rows and rows of sewing machines. My friend was a great seamstress at 13. She was always showing up to school with different outfits that she had made. I thought it would be great to create and sew my own clothes too. My first pair of shorts were not far from being three legged. But I worked hard and learned with much trail and error.

During the next couple years I became fluent in my sewing abilities. When I was a yound child of 15 I was hired on at ZCMI in their alterations department. To this day I have never worked fast food! That deserves bragging rights!

Simplicity is this year's theme at our house, unlike the guy next door that is determined to win our neighborhood HOA Christmas decorating prize. Every year more and more lights and other christmas-themed paraphernalia show up in his yard. The yard is ablaze with a crap load of whatever he can find at the local Wal-Mart discount bin. I don't think he has heard the term "Less is More".

That said, I to am guilty of stockpiling the Christmas decor. It even has it's own home as the closet under the stairs has been deemed the "Christmas Closet". The stockpile will stay where it is this holiday season. Except for a few of my favorites.

We have two beautiful trees. One is in my formal living room. It stands twelve feet tall. The girth is five and half feet. The tree has been decorated with the new trendy balls that I purchased at Tai Pan Trading. The piano and the couch have been push aside like red-headed step children. Yes, the tree is to big for the room. At first I didn't like how overwhelming the tree was. But we are adapting to it and the dog seems to think the protection of the tree is a prime spot to take a snooze.

Two little girls looking at a roasted chicken from Sam's club.

    Julie: What's that?

    Beth: That's just a wing.

    "Mom, I don't want to have a baby. That's why I don't want to be a girl."

"Well, sweetie you don't have to worry about that for a long time."

"But, Mom, Marie said that I could get pregnant any time because that's what girls do."

During the last six month I have tried desperately and successfully to lose weight. To date I have lost twenty-six pounds. Can you imagine how much butter that equals, packed around my formerly-known-as-massive ass?

I have never been one to follow though with goals that I set for myself, but this time I have exceeded my expectations. Yay for me! But there's no fast or easy way to lose weight. You can't rub cream on your ass hoping it will disolve your flab leaving you free to eat mindlessly. So I did it the old fashioned way. I changed how I ate and I took up excersize. The end.

It's my philosophy that you should eat things that you love and are good for you. You also don't need to starve. EAT OFTEN. So I have tried to find recipes that don't leave me or my pallete feeling deprived. I came across this recipe on the internet while looking for different ways to cook a spaghetti squash.
